ROTARY CLUB OF EVERETT

MEETING:
President Kari Petrasek started the 14th meeting of the year and the 5,665th meeting of the Rotary Club of Everett with the Pledge of Allegiance.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
Past President Henry Newton gave a Everett Rotary History Thought of the Day. He was president 43 years ago, 1982-1983. He joined in 1973. Henry is a ‘creature’ of habit. The most exciting is he wore the same outfit every week. He stayed in Rotary because what we do is wonderful. Still a member and glad to be a member.

INTRODUCTION OF VISITING ROTARIANS AND GUESTS:
No visiting Rotarian or guests.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Anne Marie Laurence announced the Fireside gathering will be at Steve Miller’s house at 4 pm on October 14th. There is room for 8-10 more people.

Ashley Bolden announced the Rotary Coffee Hour is Wednesday, October 14th, 8 am at Artisans Books & Coffee.

Heather Barnhart announced the Blood Drive is Friday, October 23th, 10 am – 3 pm at the Everett Elks.

There will be a Veteran’s event at the Carl Gipson Center on Thursday, November 5th. Please consider signing up.

Heather Barnhart passed around a sign up sheet for the Downtown Everett Trick or Treat event on Saturday, October 31st, 11 am – 3 pm.

HAPPY DOLLARS/BIRTHDAY BUCKS:
Krissy Davis is happy as she has accepted a position with Providence Hospice & Home Care of Snohomish County. Her son has a new job at Space X.

Henry Janicki went on a road trip with his family to celebrate his grandmother’s 90th birthday.

RAFFLE:
There was a reminder to donate more prizes to the Raffle Committee.

Winner Number 1 – Will McMahan selected the wine and chocolates.
